We live about 60 kilometers south of Stockholm in a house with a large fenced yard. We have had animals in the family over the last 27 years it started with cats and crossed over to dogs in 1980, but at that time we started with Labrador retrievers. We got quite interested in hunting and started to train extensively for hunting competitions eagerly supported by our fantastic breeder at Willows Kennel who is in fact still today an active breeder. In 1994 we had unfortunately to put our last Labrador to sleep, he was an absolutely fantastic chocolate colored gentleman named Hampus.

After some time without a dog we decided that there were something that were missing in our lives and decided to look around for a new dog. During that time we also concluded that we should be looking for another breed. We then agreed that we would like a breed with individuals with great personality and ability to function as a training buddy no matter if we would like to go for herding, obedience, agility or field tracking.

In addition all of that, it does not hurt if it is a beautiful breed !!

During our search for the ultimate breed we remembered this black furry wonderful thing that we met during our first obedience course in 1980, it was a Briard..........and so, we got our first Briard in 1996.

We have had quite a few animals over the years and for some reason they seems to grow in numbers over the years. Currently we have four Briards and one cat came along with us when we moved back from having been a year in Australia. Then we have some 25 Chinchillas and 1 Ferret.

Chinchillas and Ferrets are breed under the name "Amorina´s"

Our Kennel name Casuarina Bay has it's origin from the place where we lived outside Sydney during our stay in Australia.

Our family also consists of two legged creatures refereed to as homo sapiens, and they are Håkan and Anneli and three kids named Lovisa, Emil and Linda.

Now after 25 years with dogs we have decided to start our own breeding in a small scale and with the ambition to breed beautiful, healthy and sound working Briards
